Green tea and water
Drinking green tea increases the heat production in the body, so you consume more energy unnoticed. It speeds up the burn without increasing your heart rate. It also helps in reducing cholesterol.
Also drink plenty of water. The body needs water for a good metabolism and thanks to water, fats are more easily converted into energy. An indication is 1 glass of water per hour or at least 1.5 liters per day.
More frequent food
In the Netherlands it is usually common to eat a meal three times a day; breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is better to eat more often, for example eat 5 to 6 times a day. Do not skip meals, this is how you keep your metabolism moving.
Make sure you keep compiling meals with vegetables and regular fruit. You ensure that your body has something to process all day long and that it does not fall into ‘economy mode’. When you allow that to happen, the body stores as much as possible because it is afraid that it will not get anything again for a long time. It is also important that you continue to eat high-calorie food, just check that you are eating good high-calorie food.
